Wouldn't be easier jst to being able to trade pets with your Heroes?
You are not using pets with them most of the time, yet they have the slot usable.

It'd definitely be amusing, but I'm not sure that it'd happen. If it does, though, my R is going to let Byrdsteed (faithful Strider that sometimes successfully tanked Charr XD) have a rest :P.

Think someone mentioned it but having the guild hall as the place you can release and tame previous pets would a fun idea. It'd be kinda like a zoo you can take from

I'm game even for a stable keeping fee. 2 pets would be great but 3 would be better.

Especially when you can only find lvl5 animals to charm (mostly) - should be some randomness to this ie. lvl 3 to 10.

Put a limit as to how many we can have (limit 5 say, just as a number). Give us a guild manger please.

I like both the OP's and Viking's idea. Pets ftw.

Lol. When I saw the white moa and the black wolf, I was really tempted to get one. I'd have named them Throndor and Huan respectively, but Ungoliant is serving her punishment, doing my main chars (Feanor ) bidding. I just can't let her off the hook so easily.

That's what I do now. If I see an animal that I really just want to have, I just get it with a different character. They don't see much use as the one on my ranger does of course, but I can say I have them.
The main reason why I wouldn't want this to happen is being a player who primarily uses a ranger, pets are a prestige item to me. I like going to B/P in ToPK and being the only one with a black widow. There are a lotof awesome looking pets and I just wouldn't like it if everyone could get all or even half of them. I like the fact that I am limited in this choice, because I chose one the hardest, most prestigious one there is. What you got? Yeah, big e-peen thing, but hey that's me. I'm proud of the pet I worked hard for (not really hard, 4 man trap but still hard enough) and I am going to keep her. If it means that I can't get those new pets I would really really like, well that's the price I've paid.
At the same time though, if they added, I wouldn't raise a big fuss about it, and yes I'd use the option and go get some new pets. But I really wouldn't like to see it implemented.

i don#t understand, why anet simple makes not out of the tame skill a stupid signet skill, like the signet of capturing.
Then its the Signet of Beast Mastery.
Ever when u tame then a different pet with such a signet, the signet changes to a Skill that includes the tamed pet and the signet disapears for it and the player has then to buy a new signet at the npc, like buying a new signet of capturing.
This way, every different pet becomes then a different "Skill" and with this pay it would be possible finally in an easy way to make out of beast masters real beast masters, which could run around with 3 different pets.
Example:
I want catch following 3 pets (spoiler includes new gw:en ones)
- Mountain Eagle
- Black Wolve
- White Wolve
So i buy me form the npc 3 Signets of Beast Mastery
My Build: 7x Skill X + Signet of Beast Mastery.
I find now my Mountain Eagle and catch it... the Signet changes now into the Skill "Moutain Eagle-Fellow"
Next i catch Black Wolve, signet changes into "Black Wolve-Fellow" and last but not least "White Wolve-Fellow"
|
/Signed, but only if you could equip one BM signet at a time.
This would be the best idea for a Ranger "stable".

Pets are as much a fashion accessory as weapons and armor. I'ld love to trade out pets I've leveled to match my mood and current location...(always felt a bit weird having a blue crab and a flamingo in the Shiverpeaks...)

I kinda like the idea of either a stable or signets... but signets seem more convenient.
Like you have a signet of beast capturing, capture a animal, becomes "Snow Wolf Companion" or whatnot.
And like elite skills you can only have one equipped at a time. Nor can you have a signet and companion skill on the bar at the same time... nor can the skill be duplicated with like echo or anything like that O.o
and the skill cannot be shared with heroes.
I only say this is more convenient for quick switching. I'm still totally ok with a stable in a guild hall or something... and 3 is a good round number... or say you start with 2 and you can buy upgrades for up to 5.
For the event I sold my hyena and tried to get a white moa... with no luck..... so now i'm petless and that pisses me off. It would have been nice if I could have just put the pet away.
Or better yet, animals have token items that cannot be sold (except to pet tamer) and cannot be dropped (as to prevent others from giving pets to other people) or traded. And you can only have one token in your inventory at a time (so it takes up one inventory slot, BIG DEAL!) and you can put them all into your storage... or maybe they'll make a special pet storage tab O.o.
